I can't believe that we are already well into May, it just seems like this year is flying by! As usual we have tons of new stuff in the store and on our website. Read on to hear about new books, patterns, fabrics and more. I also wanted to let you guys know that I have added a bunch of new dates to our class schedule. Check out the Classes section of our website to see a full listing of our class offerings. You get plenty of individual attention in our lessons because we keep our class sizes small. I also want to invite you guys to feel free to come in and sew in our classroom whenever it is not in use for a class. Just give a call before you come to make sure the room is available and spend the day sewing away.

Mama's Boy Pattern New Patterns
Whatever your style, we have gotten in great new patterns sure to inspire you. If you like to make bags, the Charm Party Tote is a delightful choice. If your style is more contemporary then Arianno Shadows or Ti Leaves might be right up your alley. If you are a fan of the lovely, simple patterns that are very trendy now then you might like Mama's Boy, Sweet Cheeks, Sweet Tart, Drama Queen, Babydoll, or Sitting Pretty.
Stunning AnglePlay Quilts New Books
The selection of books that has come in recently is truly wonderful. There have been many exciting titles that are full of stunning quilt designs as well as great techniques. Stunning AnglePlay Quilts from Margaret J. Miller offers a slew of stunning contemporary quilts and blocks to choose from. The fascinating Woven Quilts book shows a terrific way to make visually exciting quilts by cutting and weaving your fabrics together. Portable Patchwork is one of my favorite new books, full of beautiful quilt patterns. It shows you how to combine hand and machine work to make your quilting more portable and accurate. Two new books, Victory Quilts by Eleanor Burns and Quilts for Rosie, both showcase blocks from the 1940's. These are just a few of the many intriguing new books.
Dresden Express New Notions
For those of you who love time saving tools, the new Dresden Express and Diamond Cut Tools are just perfect for you. The Dresden Express comes in either a 30 degree 12 wedge version or a 22 1/2 degree 16 wedge variation. Quickly cut multiple Dresden Blades accurately from 4" to 7" in length with your rotary cutter. With the Diamond Cut tool you can cut perfect 60 degree diamonds every time. Cut 1" to 6" diamonds in 1/4" increments without measuring. Simply place slotted ruler on fabric strips and cut in slots.

Last but certainly not least, I want to give you guys a heads up about our 12 Year Anniversary Celebration. My husband James and I opened Quilter's Dream 12 years ago May 16th. In order to thank all of you for your support over the years we will be having a weekend celebration on the Friday the 16th, Saturday the 17th, and Sunday the 18th of May. I will be sending another email within the next few days with more details about the event including door prizes and a sale! I hope to see you all there!
